Seattle will almost 100% take Tyler Johnson from Tampa. He is from Washington and teams love to do things like that to put people in the seats. Plus it helps Tampa's cap and get a NTC out of there easier then it would for Gourde.

If Brendan Lemieux is on their second line they are going to be a lottery team for sure.

Hopefully the Avs work out a deal so they can keep Zads. Be sad to see him go.

Well done. A lot of time and thought went into this. It would be fun to save this and reference it as the expansion draft approaches. A lot can happen in two years. You may want to make amendments.

The NHL got it right with Vegas. Truly designed to create a competitive club immediately. These expansion rules should have been in place when Washington and Kansas City entered the league in mid 1970’s. Instead it would be half a decade before a team was competitive (Capitals 1st winning season 82-83) Kansas City was gone after two seasons. Would it have happened if they made the playoffs in their first season like Vegas? Obviously, a different era.

Good question. It looks like he's just been picked up of the free agents but yeah they won't be able to take both.

I made a trade that sent Demelo to the Avs for Compher, it was a cap move as I see them having issues with that defence soon...

Thanks, ya it would be fun to reference it in a couple years and I obviously made this using my own projections of prospects and it would be nice to make amendments as time went along and Prospects develop...

Obviously I cannot predict trades but yes trades are going to happen and this is not what the seattle team that will take the ice but in the current environment this is what makes sense to me, also I am not an expect on all the teams depth charts yet so I could be way off on a couple...
