Prospect Tourney

Created by: Claesson4Norris
Team: 2019-20 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 26, 2019
Published: Aug. 26, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I may be wrong, but I think prospects playing in Europe or College hockey will have already joined their teams for camp, and will not be available.

Also left off a couple of guys who are still rookies, but have been to several of these already. Better to get at new faces than to see Chlapik or Hogberg for the millionth time.

I think Formenton and Norris are gonna dominate together. Also, just for fun I want to see Wolanin play with Brannstrom and Lajoie with Jaros

A line of Formenton-Norris-Davidsson would be unstoppable. They can overwhelm defenders with speed, and they can catch almost anyone going the other way to break up plays. Norris is also a great passer and he's got two guys who can shoot. Davidsson in particular has a nasty release

Adding one of Lafreniere, Byfield, Holtz, Raymond or Lundell to this core should solidify them as a team with the skill to contend, assuming at least one of our goalies pans out, which should be pretty likely. All that remains to be seen is if Ottawa will actually pay them, but the White deal suggests they may be serious about winning with this core.

I would put the triple B line back together. Line was NSFW last year.

Amazing team. Can't wait to see them skate circles around the leafs' rookie team.

Jaros, Lajoie and Wolanin have graduated from this group though. None of them are NHL rookies and therefore weren't invited to the rookie development camp in the spring either.

Yeah i think the white deal solidifies what they have been trying to say for a while that they just wanted a fresh start not an in the playoffs one year out the other and that deal was a great place to start showing fans there commitment to a consistent future and getting brannstrom obviously helped last year helped there dcore for the future, this next draft should solidify the future long term.

Sens don't have enough D prospects without them. Unless they're going to bring up AHL players like Jordan Murray

Also it won't be the Leafs. Habs and Jets.

I still think they should have committed to Mark Stone as The Guy. That said, Chabot, Thomson, Brannstrom, Wolanin, Bernard-Docker is a very solid crop of young Dmen.

I don't even think they would be allowed to play even if they wanted to. Just like how Chabot didn't play last year. They usually just invite unsigned players to fill out the roster.

I don't think there are any hard rules. At the very least, Lajoie should be there. Despite playing over half the season, he's still a project and he's pretty far from being a regular NHL player.
