I don't see why having a player under a million dollars is a bad thing. It's not like they are ELC's. It's a regular contract just like everyone else. And who cares if its a 23 man roster or a 20 man roster. Most teams in the NHL are 21 or 22 and it's not like those 1 or 2 players sitting out are making a huge difference on the ice or to the cap. Those are the only "rules" I broke
