Might be a homer but McDonagh should probably be mentioned here somewhere.

Top 10 in Norris voting (8th) and Top 20 in points by defenders (16th)

True, I considered some names to be put in the honorable mentions in the description, McDonagh was one of the firsts to be left out. I couldn't leave out the future superstars in Dahlin and Heiskanen, and I love the game of OEL, Weber and Spurgeon.

To be fair every one of them are terrific d-men.

Point is like 9th in the list. He's a TOP10 C in my opinion, but I've hard time putting him any higher than that, since he has only have one elite level year in the league.

Not to mention he played most of the season with the league MVP.

I agree letang behind Carlson looks good. But I'd keep malkin right where he is. Could even argue Scheifele ahead of him. I'd move murray no higher than Jones. I see what you did tho, putting hin right ahead of fleury without saying fluerys name. Lol

Last thought. Great lists but parayko is overrated

Rielly 7 lol

Like Rask at 2nd but he isn't 2nd

Would like to know how is Matthews better than Bergeron?

Anyways, it's YOUR top20 so
(also put C in LW column for whatever reason)

Rielly is a great D. I rate him highly.

I was thoroughly impressed by Rask in the playoffs.

Matthews scores pretty much at the same rate. Both are also semi injury prone. Those two are equal in my books, I could put Bergeron at 5th and Matthews at 6th if necessary.

in the LW position there are centers and in the RW position are all wingers. I didn't separate the wingers by left and right.

Still, Bobrovsky/Gibson should be ahead at least. He was stellar in the playoffs but it's one year, same reason why Binnington isn't a top10 G.

Also, they both had similar offensive production (Bergeron was better this season) but in terms of defense, that's enough to separate them from few spots...

To be fair, Bergeron has much better linemates. Last year Bergeron formed a line with super wingers like Marchand and Pastrnak, while Matthews had to perform with Kapanen and Johnsson mostly. This gives Bergeron major advantage points-wise, and also tells another story about Matthews' offensive abilites.

With capable linemates, Matthews could be a constant 50 goal, 100 point player. Provided that he stays healthy of course.

He’s elite defensively as well, stamkos and Tavares are average at best in their own zone.

It’s not by mistake that the recent cup winners have all had a top 6 center that is just as strong defensively (o’reilly, backstrom, Crosby, kopitar, toews)

Malkin has had one season in his career under a PPG. He’s one of the most consistent players in the NHL. When healthy he’s guaranteed 80 points. I’ll take him over almost every centre.
Fleury is actually over rated. Had a lower save percentage than Murray. He’s very inconsistent. Of course when he played on Pittsburgh everyone dinged him. But now on Vegas he’s suddenly a top goalie.

Fine. I will lift Point up in the standings if TB actually becomes a cup winner with their current roster.

Latest playoffs didn't go so well...

Scheifele is a lock for 80 points but he actually stays healthy also. That's my only knock on malkin. I'd also say drop Matthews down for the same reason. Can't stay healthy.

It's life

David Krejci hasn't had a top6 RW for 3-4 years now; yet he tied his career-high in pts this season. Had like 9 pts in 5 GP with Marchand and Pastrnak in December but don't complain about it. It's the way it is
