2019-20 Roster Preview

Created by: cnil4
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 27, 2019
Published: Aug. 27, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If Sweeney is as good as advertised, he will try to trade Backes to make room for the McAvoy/Carlo contracts. Although he has a hard contract to move, it is doable. All credits go to the Causeway Crowd blog/Marleau trade for the assets given up in this case. I don't think Zboril will ever play for the Bruins seeing the abundance in left shots that the Bruins have and I put the first there because I do believe the cost of giving up Backes will be a heavy amount because of the cap hit.

You're good, but what would you do differently? I think the McAvoy bridge is decent if I'm basing it off the EW Contract Projections, but then again, if I'm trading Backes it would make more sense to sign McAvoy long-term.

He already tries to trade Backes. Should try to keep 1st.

Also, they will not put Krug-McAvoy together.

I actually didn't catch that when I was going through making this, my bad. (referring to the Krug-McAvoy pairing, I know better than that)

you have to think they had more ability to move backes at the draft or around the start of free agency than now. so good luck without super paying to get him gone.

i wouldn't base anything on evolving wild. why would anyone?

I don't think that bridge for McAvoy is good.

I think Backes and a first is fine. no more.
