Kings can do better than a 6th for Forbort. They have no need for Scandela. Once Forbort is traded, Clague will be taking his spot on the roster.

My guess is that Forbort will be moved at the deadline to a team with defensive depth issues that are looking to add a solid bottom pairing and PK option. He'll probably cost a 3rd round pick.

If you're looking for an upgrade on defense and don't want to give up a decent pick or prospect, then you have to look at teams that are playoff contenders themselves. Teams like LA are looking to pick up assets for rentals, not acquire another rental themselves.

No one immediately comes to mind. Nick Holden in Vegas maybe? Buffalo would have to retain a significant portion of Scandella's contract to make it work due to Vegas's cap situation.
