You can keep Manning. If the Pens move someone like Rust it will be to open cap. Granlund+Manning don't help that.

They're only listed as over the cap right now because they have way too many players on the roster. Bogo to LTIR, 9 dman dressed, The Sobotka situation... etc

They will still be cap slammed after sending someone down and Bogosian returning possibly before October is over. However, I do admit not knowing what will happen with Sobotka.

However, Sheary is fine, but he is not really a loss, especially for a 3rd and breathing room.

BUF would probably take a 3rd but you'd have to bury the Brodziak contract
Pitt would trade Rust if it involved Matt Benning assuming they could move Guddy out

Edmonton is obsessed with getting Rust, like every trade I see involving Rust, 50% of them are to Edmonton.

At least this one wasn't some total garbage like JP for Rust.
