Team: 2019-20 Carolina Hurricanes
Team Explanation
Aho's Dad is the GM of Karpat, where Puljujarvi signed. He's skating with Sebastian this summer and he probably like the idea of reunite with him.

Apparently Holland's asking for a prospect and a 1st or a established player that can help them right now with terms.

Carolina only have one right shot F. Why not trying on this kid. It will be like if received Jesse for Patrick contract.

I'd do a straight swap for Jake Bean, maybe bean and a 3rd. This is a massive overpay. No chance he commands that kind of return.

That’s overpay, wallmark has a sneaky good upside and bean was a high overall pick in 2016

Prospect with top-9 potential and a pick. So from the Canes you're talking about maybe Morgan Geekie and a 4th, something like that.

Also not sure if he’s the gm but he definitely has a big role in the front office so that could be interesting

Let's stop this silly JP trades, especially "asking price". Wallmark is an NHL regular....that should be max for a failed JP. To add anymore is crazy. (I would love to see JP get healthy and play well in Finland so he can renew his NHL career)
And the comments to that "handiness" is so important.....it ain't. NHL competence is the most important factor. I'm a RHD,,,,and NHL teams aren't rushing to sign me.

Buddy, McGinn and a 3rd gets it done. Pulju is unproven, we don't even know if he is an NHL talent right now.

Puljujärvi is getting at most a 2nd. As in, just the second. Edmonton doesn't deserve any players back they can also ruin.

Massive overpay, GMJR turned down a 1-1 Rust for Jesse.

Rust's value is about a 2nd or a 3rd and an AHLer/v.low-end prospect.

Jesse to Canes could be a good fit but I'd offer McGinn and a 3rd or a 2nd.

Try McGinn and a pick and keep all the assets you just offered. Wallmark is great in the faceoff circle and Bean will be a huge part of CAR’s defense for years to come. I do think Carolina would be a decent landing spot for Puljujarvi though.

I know that's an overpayment, that's why they didn't trade him now. But this is the rumors about what they asked for.

Question: Does anyone here actually think Puljujarvi, once traded to the Canes for whichever return and put on the top line with Aho, will continue to be a bust and probably no more than a 3rd liner at best?

Im pretty confident it will. He's too young to be a bust. I just enjoy watching everyone **** on him for being a bust and a sucky prospect, then turn around and trade for him for peanuts and play him on their top line and expect him to score 20-30......

Edmonton is not stupi......errrrr..............Holland is definitely not Chiarelli and will make sure to get his asking price as letting Puljujarvi play in Finland will only increase his value. (Assuming he doesn't go full bust and can't even score in Liiga). If he does crap the bed in Finland and turns into superbust, what do the OPilers lose? Nothing. Everyone is already offering practically nothing. Its almost more worth risking to raise his value in Finland then it is to get something of value now while they still can.
