wouldn't say he is a bust, he just didn't (or hasn't) reached his ceiling (which was 3rd line centre). in hindsight, he actually panned out a lot better than some of the players that were drafted around him considering he's actually been on an nhl roster consistently.

When you consider the 90% draft selections that Burke had, never reached the NHL.....Gauthier is an NHL all star. Burke had the highest paid group minions (executives) on his staff. Their sole responsibility was to eat, drink with Burke and tell him how smart he was. Virtually every Leaf executive never saw a non NHL game.

I agree with the comments above...I personally never had expectations he'd amount to more that a 4th liner...if that. And he get some burn time in the NHL last year mostly due to injuries and then Babcock preferring his size to Petan/Ennis (when he was healthy). He's the perfect kind of guy to sit in the pressbox as the 13th forward, IMO

Pretty much. He's a fringe 4th line centre and was a 1st round pick. Seems like a bust to me
