Here be cautious that playing third line signify that you play against 5-6 defenseman. Like kotkaniemi in Montreal, or anthony cirelli. Both have played most time against bottom pairing so its a way to protect the kids and give them chance too have succes. At 18

Svechnikov MAY be better then Laine one day but not as of now. You've shown only 1 metric where you think Svech is better...sorry but that doesn't cut it. You're also comparing Laine, in his worst pro season this past year, and yet he still demolished Svech in every other metric. Compare Laine's first pro season to Svech...it's not even close there either. Case closed...only a homer would disagree with this.
