Yes. But Weal isn't meant for a 4th line role. He's a Daniel Carr 2.0, a guy that is skilled such that he should play on the top 6 to be effective, but that isn't as skilled as your other top 6 guys so he'll never be in that spot.

McCarron is much better suited for a 4th line "Boyle-type role" that Weal is.

Claude Julien loves a reliable sandpaper 4th line that can kill off penalties and chip in here and there.

Weal put up 10 points in 16 games playing on the 4th line, win faceoff. McCarron is too slow and definitely not reliable defensively
