    Love the concept but I don't see Edmonton approving that deal. This Carolina team would be sick though.

    Nah, not worth it for the Jets. It's pretty likely they 're gonna lose Hamilton after the two years of his contract expires, so they should get something more long-term in the move.

    Hamilton and almost a 1st in picks from carolina is fine value as is

    Not a chance. Laine's rights belong to his respective team for at least the next four years. Hamilton has only two years left. Despite Laine had a rough season with "only" 30 goals, he's still very valuable player and likely to rebound to close to 50 goals in a year or two...
