Trading decent players like Boedker and Pageau for cap dumps with mediocre draft picks is the complete wrong way to utilize cap space.

Boedker and Pageau at the TDL are very very likely worth a 3rd round pick each so if they're the piece you're sending back for Alzner and Backes you should be getting two 3rds ++++.

Ideally you'd take cap dumps with goo picks/prospects
and trade your UFA's at the TDL for more picks, really think that's what the Sens should do but I think they'll end up keeping Pageau and re-signing him.

In every trade replace the picks with a 1st, in some cases add a prospect.
