I don’t see comrie sticking on a team if he does get claimed off waivers. This year’s backup positions are pretty locked down. Maybe if an injury occurs in preseason so he does but I don’t see it happening otherwise.

Both trades are fair, but Reilly is definitely better than Beaulieu. I would insert Reilly over Beaulieu

Beaulieu isn’t the same player he was in MTL and I want to give him a chance in WPG. He played very well. Some of that may be the Trouba effect but not all. He was consistently one of our best d

Also I know ur a MTL fan so u like it/would you do it/is it worth it?

I like this roster, and lines seem fair. But I wouldn't sign Mcginn because we picked Bourque a few days ago, and I think he fits better with guys like Appleton. If anything maybe give Suess a chance and have him on a rotation with Bourque and if he doesn't perform Letestu can be that 13th forward.

I don’t know, I think Reilly’s worth a 3rd or 4th alone, so taking Kulikov to be healthy scratches instead of Weise is useless. If Reilly’s worth a 5th alone, I’ll take Kulikov to get the 2020 3rd round pick

Personally, I don't like that trade for the Islanders. Perreault is expensive and not sure if he fits into our roster super well. I'd much rather go after Frolik

McGinn would serve as a Tanev replacement (but way more offence) and would be better than bourque. I would have suess rotate with weise when McGinn inevitably gets injured

I think Reilly is worth a 4th at most. I don’t see him getting much more. Maybe a 3rd at the tdl but not now.

However, ur essentially getting a 3rd for nothing as Reilly will probably also be scratched as well

There is only one frolik and I keep hearing that x team would much rather go after frolik. Also perreault is very underrated. Frolik May bring offence but he doesn’t elevate anyone’s game. Perreault does that (see Tanev season)

The isles also have cap space. Any other ideas for perreault? La and minny would probably take him to boost his value and sell him at the tdl

But Reilly isn’t bad, he’s great offensively, but defensively meh. If someone gets injured, he can play beside Petry. We got him for a 5th when nobody’s knows him, is game improved since he got traded

U got him as a prospect though. Now he is proven as a 5th-7th d-man (worth a 4th at most in season). He isn’t bad but he isn’t much better (if any) than beaulieu who has a more well rounded game

Beaulieu got a 6th. Morrow got a 4th. Mquaid (was having a great season until cbj) got a 3rd

That trade makes no sense for the islanders - especially with Perrault making 4.2 mill for the next 2 years. Isles are trying to add to the top 6 which would make beauvillier the 3 lw. Beauviller >Perrault.

Exactly right. If Perreault was on an expiring deal, maybe. Unless WPG takes back salary, no thanks.

We have the space now, but not next offseason when Barzal, Pulock and Toews will need new contracts. Same goes for a lot of teams, that second year makes him really hard to move. Sounds crazy, but maybe they could make a money move with Boston for Backes, throwing some other stuff in there to make it even. Same could be done with Edmonton for Russell maybe. I know they want to move him in a cap dump, but I looking at Lucic-Neal and Anisimov-Smith, teams just don’t seem to want to take on money without sending a bunch the other way.

Chicago took de haan and maata. This just is t the right time which is why we should just get what we can. I otherwise wouldn’t be halo with a 4th but we need the space. I’m thinking that some team will take him without giving salary. He is still very good and would be a 50 pt player if the jets weren’t so deep on the wings

De Haan and Maatta are completely different players than Perreault and the Hawks both had the need and the money to go out and get them.

The Islanders are also fairly deep on the left side, so I can’t see them making a move to acquire a guy who hasn’t been very good in years. And even if he is a stud who just needs more TOI, he’s not playing above the third line. I suppose a team with space and the need could make a deal for him, but I can’t see that being the Islanders.

I wasn’t commenting specifically about the isle but rather the perreault situation in general. Some one will have the need and money imo. He isn’t the same class as guys like russel or backes. He had value
