Apparently Bergevin is really active atm and is looking to potentially OS someone after the 10 % rule is no longer in effect. He has also shown interest in Gardiner and Honka. Gardiner has shown more interest to sign with Toronto than Montreal, but he might no have a choice. Juulsen and Honka would battle it out and Suzuki would fight for a spot too.

Sure Habs could offer sheet someone, but having no cap space going into 2020/21 when Domi and other RFAs just might backfire.
IF Honda is an NHL Dman, he should get more 4th rounder from Dallas. Gardiner, I don't see how the Leafs have cap to sign him , assuming the Marner is going to Leaf this year.
Gardiner might be best maybe the only fit for Gardiner but for cap reasons, maybe only a one year deal is best for Habs, and what are the options Gardiner has?

So you have kulak on the bench when he was arguably the habs third best defenceman at the end of last year ? No thanks to gardiner.. maybe on a one year deal
