Overrated: Suter (he's good but not as good as the national guys would lead you to believe)

Eh... Spurgeon blows Suter out of the water IMO. Suter looked really bad last year relative to his previous years, he got beat a ton off the rush by young players that were able to blow past him. He has good games, but also some really bad ones. Spurgeon RARELY gets beat, he puts up points, he blocks shots like no other, and the best part of all is that he maybe has 5 bad games all year. If I'm building a team, I take Spurgeon 10 times out of 10 before I take Suter. If you asked me 3-4 years ago, I'd have taken Suter, but Spurgeon has been elevated to a whole different level the past few years. I'd argue he's our best player.

Agree to disagree. Our opinions are just different. Consistent happens to have the same result every time and when losing to the penguins was that Kuzy inconsistency become a positive. He reach a new level of elite and score the most points for the caps in a single playoffs. More than any other play has in the last 15 years in the nhls. Think about that. ROR just won the mvp with far inferior numbers.

You could argue he was a top 3 player in the nhl 2 years ago. Taking playoffs and reg season into account
