Description
Does this work? I honestly haven't explored a Brodie trade for the jets and I also don't know the value on the other trades LOL. I just wanted to try and see if it could work.

I don't know if its the right move for the Jets, but I thought id give it a shot. Also if im super far off just let me know hahah Im not quite sure on the value.

I don't think he really has negative value yet, and with $500,000 retained I think his contract is reasonable. He is a very good veteran presence and a young team looking to add that could use a guy like Perreault. He can also play up and down the lineup as he's very versatile.
OTT
  1. Perreault, Mathieu ($500,000 retained)
2.
CGY
  1. Samberg, Dylan [Reserve List]
  2. 2021 2nd round pick (WPG)
3.

  1. Reilly, Mike
Additional Details:
Not sure on the value but I took Reilly back for cap purposes.
MTL
  1. Kulikov, Dmitry ($650,000 retained)
  2. 2021 4th round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Jets could make the pick a 3rd, but with Ottawa being not great it should be an early 4th.

There’s no way we should trade Samberg for a rental. He’s too important for the future, and he’s more than likely going to be ready next year straight away. I think Hamonic would be a better option if we were to trade with Calgary for a d-man, since he has a good chance to take a hometown discount, but I still wouldn’t give up Samberg.

I was hesitant to trade samberg but I wasn’t sure what else would work. I don’t know what else Calgary would be interested in. What would it take to get Hamonic? I think he’d maybe take a hometown discount with us. Would be nice for someone to actually want to play for us.

I think Calgary already has a bunch of young d-men, so I’d imagine they’d want a forward prospect, but tbh we don’t have any really enticing options besides Vesalainen (like Samberg, shouldn’t be traded) and Gustafsson. Maybe Spacek? Idk, Calgary probably wouldn’t want to trade Hamonic, so it’s probably not worth trying to come up with a package for him. Wait for next offseason I guess, and see if we have enough room after the Morrissey, Roslovic, and Niku extensions

Blueline growing pains sorta year, I hope for health and lots of min for some young players, and see what’s needed next offseason with the ufa hamonic and samberg hopefully ready to go. I think the blueline may surprise some people this year, they were terrible late in games, last year so hopefully fix that with some health and new faces. Jets in a kind of a interesting place of win for little, wheeler, and buffy or build with Connor laine, and roslovic and caught in the middle morrissey scheifele Lowry

MTL probably can fetch a 3rd alone for Reilly. So if you are taking Reilly, you are sending a 2nd round pick. If you dont want Reilly, we can send you a B- C+ prospect for Kulikov + 2nd round pick. MTL wont take Kulikov if a 2nd isnt going the other way. And you dont have to retained on Kulikov if he's going to MTL

Yeah I’m not sure we will but would love to make it happen, maybe a byfuglien trade could be an option if need be. I wouldn’t mind Hamonic morrissey #1 and #2. Especially with all the young guys we have coming up we would be alright. Also I would love to entertain the idea of sending a pick and/or prospect to Seattle to take little off of our hands.

I think next year is the last chance to win with the core. Hopefully we can get Seattle to take little by sending a pick or prospect to them. I think the d will surprise. I also think a new coach could be very beneficial. Look what happened with St. Louis

Zero interest in LD prospects, we are set there for years to come, only real interests are in Roslovic and Ehlers. Tbh WPG and CGY dont make good trade partners until after our RFA's are signed

Would you guys be open to kulikov with 1m retention +3rd for a b- prospect ?? If it costs a 2nd to move him I don’t think they do it.

After getting feedback I agree on them not being good trade partners.

I believe your right, which is tough because the defense isn’t quite ready for a long run and the vets are getting a little to late to be around when they are. I don’t mind little being around, his cap number is a little high, but plays as much or as little as asked and doesn’t complain. He would be a quality first captain for Seattle in saying that. But to be honest I wouldn’t have reupped with wheeler last summer and let it be a possibility he walked this summer over, just entering 5 more years. In Chevy I trust, hopefully it works out for another playoff run.

Yeah I’m not gonna be a fan of the wheeler contract in a couple years, but I think it’s fine for the next 2 years. At that point he should be traded and scheifele should take over as captain. I think Little would be an unreal first captain for Seattle and could possibly revitalize his career there.

I can't see MTL taking Kulikov for a 3rd
