In terms of the Wild potentially trading him, I think it's absolutely a possibility if we are out of the playoff race in February. I'll be really sad to see Koivu in anything but forest green and wheat, but the Wild have guys like Eriksson Ek and Sturm in our system that are set to become eventual Mikko "replacements". He also has a NMC and he really does love it here, so it's possible he might not waive.
As for what his trade value is, that's really hard to say. He's been one of the best players for faceoffs for a long time (took a dip last year but he's still very good) and he is still very much elite in his own zone. The problem is that he can't make some of the passes he used to and his offense is kinda "meh", so you're stuck with a player that probably belongs in the top 6, but he's not going to give you top 6 point-production. He could be great for the Bruins for that reason because you've got players like Krejci and Bergeron that can still put up big point totals down the middle. He also suffered a torn MCL last year and while the media has been raving that he looks like the old Mikko, he's still 36 years old and injuries like that generally do not bode well for players that age.
