Leave it to Eklund to hear Dubas say the Leafs have never entertained trading Marner and then think, "My sources tell me TO is shopping Marner" I honestly don't know who's worse, Eklund for having absolutely zero substance to anything he says, or James Tanner for being the biggest Leafs fan boy in the world. If Marner signed tomorrow Eklund would post something about how the Leafs are frustrated with Marner signing before the season starts and therefor are looking to trade him.

IMO it's an overpayment by CBJ. Savard and Bjorstrand are good NHLers.....Marchenko is a 2nd rounder. Leafs would get immediate help and good/great futures. Still gotta think a signed Marner is necessary for any trade.
