An outside look of BOS line-up - am I far off

Description
Capitals is my team, but what fun is it to be interested in the league if you don't have a decent idea of your opponents?

This is my outside look for the Bruins line-up. Is it reasonable or do you - fans of the team - see other likely line combinations or pairings at defense? Who's got that special chemistry with another players etc.

I have assumed that McAvoy and Carlo will sign, just adding a one year contract, for the sake of predicting the roster. Man, that blueline is deep with players like Moore, Miller and Kampfer not even in my prediction.

Most top-six forward positions looks like locks, but my question is the making of that third line and who'll take 2RW position?

I would say for a guy who isn't a fan of the team, this is shockingly good!

I think that top six is probably the direction they go, although I think they 100% need to break up the Marchand, Bergeron, Pastrnak line. I think a rookie is likely to play third line center. Probably Studnicka, sending Kuraly to the 4th line, with Nordstrom and Wagner. Backes to providence, the press box, LTIR, something, but he isn't going to play regularly.

The d, you could make an argument that grzelcyk and chara should swap places, but i think it's fine as is.

Well done!

Im 100% on team pastrnak re-broke his thumb thats why he was garbage in the playoffs. hard to do anything with accuracy with a broken thumb. Only reason to break that line up is to make the 2nd line deeper and keep coyle on 3rd line at center. but that bumps heinen or a rookie into 1st rw.

only reason to break that line up is if you want to win. Back to back years in the playoffs, when they needed that line 5 on 5, the opposition put their top shut down guys against them and they were done.

I just think that line doesnt get shut down as hard if pastrnak doesnt rebreak his thumb. Debrusk playing through a concussion doesnt help. but it makes sense, i want it to happen. i just dont think they will do it

that line has three absolute snipers. There are only so many pucks to shoot. powerplay? oh ya, keep them together. Third period down a goal? sure. 2nd period down a couple? why not. Need a momentum chance? All about it. They just can't run out that line over and over and expect them to do all the scoring.

Do you think they'll move Coyle to RW? I thought they brought him in to be their 3C. Did he play RW for them during their playoff run?

I think Studnicka will be ready for 3C duty. If not, I think Frederic will be. I think Coyle would be a perfect guy to replace Pastrnak with Bergeron and Marchand.

yeah pretty often. they moved coyle/johansson/heinen around when backes wasnt really producing. he was averaging like 10 minutes of ice time when he was on the roster.

It’s sad you have a better handle on the Bruins than most Bruins fan do. Solid job.

Will be looking for Studnicka's name in the pre-season news then.
Personally, I have a soft spot for Cehlarik after playing a few years for my favorite team in Sweden, but unless Backes is buried in the organization (moving Heinen to 2RW, Coyle to 3C and Kuraly to 4C), I don't see a spot for him on this roster. Guess time will tell.

Thank you all for your inputs!
