Good job, very reasonable.
I think most NHL teams try to balance LHD with RHD, but Montour is so much better than Scandella, I would be willing to try him. Brandon was the Sabres best defenseman during his 20 games with Buffalo.
Miller may not be a true #1 RHD but IMO he would be the best of the Sabre's RHD to pair with Dahlin.
I hope you are correct putting Smith and Olofsson in the line up. AHL performance does not always translate to the NHL.

If the return of a 5th rounder and 50% salary is all Botterill would ask for, Montreal seems a more likely suitor than Calgary. The Flames have cap issues and are reportedly trying to deal either Brodie or Hamonic to free up space for Tkachuk. The Canadiens were rumored to be interested in Gardiner (LHD) so Scandella on discount may have some appeal to them. Him being a native of Montreal doesn't hurt the hometown angle the locals seem to appreciate either.
