An outside look of CHI line-up - am I far off

Description
Capitals is my team, but what fun is it to be interested in the league if you don't have a decent idea of your opponents?

This is my outside look for the Blackhawks line-up. Is it reasonable or do you - fans of the team - see other likely line combinations or pairings at defense? Who's got that special chemistry with another players etc.

Personally, I figure Chicago will be more competitive from the get-go. Coach Colliton have time to implement his ideas from the pre-season, they can score and no matter what goalie they put in the net, either of Crawford/Lehner can win games on their own. Fine, defense may just be solid, but unspectactular. Or do you Blackhawks fans expect Boqvist to take a NHL spot this fall? (I put Keith and Gustafsson on different pair, just to spread some offense)

Question is; what about that third line? Is Dach expected to take that a center position? What will Kubalik and/or Nylander do? Or will guys like Smith and Carpenter bump them down on the depth chart?

Also, I assume that Perlini will sign, but I only list him on a one year contract, just for the purpose of predicting the line-up.

Some people put Debrincat - Strome - Kane but the consensus going into the season is to keep Kane and Toews together and keep Debrincat and Strome together. Many also think Kubalik is going to make the team, myself included. Dach has every chance to make 3C but is not a lock. I can see Perlini get traded if Nylander is able to make the team. Here are my lines

Kubalik - Toews - Kane
DeBrincat - Strome - Perlini/Nylander
Saad - Smith/Dach - Shaw
Cagguila - Smith/Carpenter - Kampf

Keith - Gus
De Haan - Murphy
Maata - Seabrook

Dahlstrom with Murphy until De Haan returns.

Number one, I noticed you have Kubalik scratched. That's a no no. He's not going to get wasted riding the pine. Dach will probably get a look (9 games or so) in the NHL but I don't think he's a lock to make the team. Perlini is on his way out of Chicago. Toews is the number one center, not sure what you're thinking with him on the second line. The way I see it, the consistent roster this year will be

Nylander-Toews-Kane
DeBrincat-Strome-Saad
Kubalik-Shaw-Caggiula
Smith-Kampf-Carpenter

As for Boqvist, my personal opinion that he's ready to go. I'm also super high on him. I wanted him to play last season. I love Adam Boqvist and think he is the next Erik Karlsson, maybe even better offensively. He definitely has the hands to make some dirty plays. My preference for D would be

Keith-Boqvist
Maatta-Murphy
Gustafsson-Seabrook

Gus needs to go IMO. He sucks defensively. The only reason we still have him is because he got 60 points. He's not going to do that again. Look at William Karlsson. 40 goals, 70 points out of no where and last season he only got 50 something. Same thing with Gus. He's a good player, but he's not a superstar. He or Murphy gets moved when DeHaan comes back from IR. We'll split the goalies 50/50 or rather 41/41 provided Crow is healthy. Crow might get 50 or 55 games just because he's our boy in Chicago.

Someone responsible defensively like Saad should play on the Second line, not Nylander. He sucks. He needs to play with Toews to learn how to complete his all around game.

Toews is absolutely the best center, I agree. My thought was of the two fairly even top lines (as a whole), as a 1A/1B kind of situation.

Switch either Saad or Shaw with Perlini/Nylander and i think your lines are dead on.
