Trade Rumours is a part of the business. The amount of people to "look dumb" because they're exploring trade options would be astronomical...if anybody actually cared.

If, and it's a big IF, the Jets start fielding trade offers, I think the winner would most likely be the Flyers or Devils. That said, the fact that Laine is NOT at NHL Media Day has pissed off a bunch of people. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Jets start the year without him and just let him sit in Finland for a while.

Haha source is your word, not mine, but no. Just telling it like it is. But that would also likely go for other teams with a big time RFA hold out. Flames really wanted Matthew Tkachuk there, but I have no idea if they are pissed off about it or not. The NHL office in general is not happy about these hold outs, and I think we will see something added to the next CBA to try to speed up this negotiation process.

Flyers aren’t in good position for laine trade unless they trade provorov and konecky. With van riemsdyk and kevin hayes contract. They can afford a 10 millions laine. Plus hart and sanheim will Get major raise in 2 season. The hurricane are more likely a spot for laine, with aho and tavareinen
