Makes sense. Since it unlikely the any team is going to offer sheet Laine....Laine has little leverage if he wants to play in the NHL this year.

If Laine accepted your 3 x 6.85M he'd already be resigned by now. He wants at least 7 x 9.5M and i doubt he accepts less.

He wants Austin Mathews money. Laine is one of the worst players on the team when he isn’t scoring and all his stats reflect that and it makes him such a liability on the ice.If he thinks he’s worth more than 8 million he’s insane.
