not bad I like. Id rather get Eberle instead of yakupov and I'd trade Hayes in a package if I have too to get him. then sign Vanek to replace Hayes and put miller third line Center or Lindberg third line center

You won't want Eberle after you watch him play. And Yak actually forechecks and tried to play a little D.

This roster has no money coming off the books to resign guys. If you plan to reup Shattenkirk, you need to clear more space... you have to let Yakupov and Fast walk, and still might not have enough to resign Shat

Well, there's two things that would have to happen, a) I believe NYR will buy out Girardi next year as it would have less of a cap hit than doing so now, and b) someone will be claimed for the expansion draft, I could very easily see it being one of our RFAs from this summer (Kreids/Miller/Hayes). Bringing in Yak would mostly be to help Buch transition, so if NYR needed to clear more space after buying out Girardi and the expansion draft, I would have no problem with them trading his rights for a few draft picks. I'd assume the combined cap hit saved from those two/possibly three moves would be enough to resign Shat to a solid extension.
