Description

1. Tkachuk to sign at a reasonable price right now and not miss any of camp or beggining of the season

2. we need atleast 1 maybe 2 rookies to really step up and show they can make this team. most stanley cup winners have one or too surpirses on the roster who really shore up the 3rd/4th lines

3. gaudreau and monahan need to playing hard until the very last game of the season and none of this letting off with like 10 games left

4. we need to cut some dead weight (Frolik) (maybe brodie)

How can say "cut dead weight" by getting rid of Frolik then signing Marleau (the 2019 version of Marleau)

because he would be half the price of frolik and replaces the veteran presence. he played well for toronto last year and could do well being a setup man for backlund/ tkachuk. one of calgarys biggest holes is that we relied to heavily on top line scoring. by taking away some of the defensive prowess of backlunds line and hopefully adding some scoring power the team is better. if there is another player out thewre who could slot in on the rw as a ufa or on a trade then id be all for it i was just picking imo the best available guy

czar is not a good hockey player. hes a thirteenth forward at best and we have dube, gawdin, phillips, pelletier that would be better equipped in his roster spot. czarnik was good for a period of about 6 games layt year. the rest of the time he was a liability

Marleau didn't play well for the Leafs last year. There is a reason no team has signed him this year. Ridding yourself of Frolik seems difficult to. Teams just aren't willing to pick up a bunch of cap.
