No one will take Ceci, especially not at 4 500 000 millions.

He's worth 2,5-3 million AAV

Someone will take him. He has one year left. I bet there would be team wanting him. Pens wanted Gudbranson who is by miles worse

A team who needs to hit the floor will take ceci. Everyone said the same thing about Marleau and zaitsev but they arent on the leafs anymore

But who?

Anaheim, for instance, has the cap space but they're rebuilding, so I doubt that they would give the Leafs a pick or two for Ceci...

Barrie seems to be asking for too much and Ceci is basically useless. ¸

But I agree that in the best case scenario, Dermott should remain a Leaf. He could become a solid fourth D.
Resign Muzzin. He can play both sides, he's an all around beast and stabilizes the bottom two pairings, a thing that Gardiner couldn't really do due to his defensive weaknesses.

I dont hate it, but very young and inexperienced...can definitely see muzzin re-signing for the right price although i think dubas would prefer to re-sign barrie if possible

Muzzin has more experience than Barrie and he's better a defending that Barrie so... and the Leafs won't have a ton of cap space next year so it comes down to this...

Do you prefer Barrie at 7 mil AAV for like 5-6 years or Muzzin at 5,5 mil AAV for like 4-5 years?

I prefer Muzzin

Ceci does well for Leafs, Team like who knows what is near playoffs and they see fringe top-4 RHD who has great season and gets him for like a 4th before realizing he sucks. Dont give credit to NHL GMs. Most of them are stupid. Whoever.. somebody will.

Dermott would not be traded.

Anaheim, Detroit, ottawa, Colorado tho they wouldn't want him, Columbus or LA. They could throw him in if they were to make a move for someone like toffoli or Martinez but they would most likely have to give up something like a 3rd or 2nd if they have to. Now that Gardiner is off the market I think they should keep him. He was awful in ott but he had no good partners. Maybe he can be ok with rielly but if not they could move him. Dermott should be I'm the top 4 anyway and why not give him 15ish games. If he doesnt have it he doesnt have it but dubas thinks he sees something

Harpur was one of the worst defenseman in the league last year. He would have trouble making the marlies. I'll rank the 3rd pair guys for you...
Dermott
Marincin
Schmaltz
Holl

50 layers of ****

Ceci's dog
Harpur

What does that have to do with anything. Dan Girardi was awful but he played on TB so does that mean hes great? No

Nope. 3+4=7. He would have 7 accrued years. That makes him a ufa.

Girardi is finished. He changed a lot since he left NY... and I say that as a NYR fan

He was still va very solid number 3 D in 2017, only two years later he's a number 6... maybe
