An outside look of SJS line-up - am I far off

Capitals is my team, but what fun is it to be interested in the league if you don't have a decent idea of your opponents?

This is my outside look for the Sharks line-up. Is it reasonable or do you - fans of the team - see other likely line combinations or pairings at defense? Who's got that special chemistry with another players etc.

I guess I'm like most, to think the top six forward group is really missing a name. Originally, I thought of keeping Sorensen with Thornton, because I seem to remember them having good chemistry last season, and have a major surprise at 2RW, like right-handed Blichfeld who score a sh*tload of points in juniors. In the end, I didn't figure that would be very probable. Regarding the top six, I don't know which would be considered the top line. Feels like a 1A/1B situation.

I figure the blueline is quite set, but I gotta admit I was surprised when Heed signed an extension. As a player with offensive upside, I didn't think he wanted to have Burns and Karlsson ahead of him for one more season. Guess he really likes the Cali weather. :-)

Kane-Hertl and Meier-Couture worked really well as pairings last year, so I don't think they will split them up, and I can't see them putting Couture at 2C. Sorensen is the next likely candidate to move into the top 6 if a rookie doesn't get that spot. The bottom 6 and defense look good. Although I do think a rookie (True or Chekhovich) can get a spot on the team.

Dead on on defense, but if Sorenson is moved from Thornton's wing and given hard minutes he will crumble. He just doesn't have that kind of ability. Id say its much more likely that Ivan Chekhovich makes the team and starts in the top six, or someone like Suomela or Gambrell is given that spot to start. Personally I think Brodzinski will also be on the roster to start, but people tend to disagree

Yah the top two lines are pretty interchangeable, just keep Hertl with Kane and Meier with Couture and you’ll be golden with pretty much anyone else with them. You mentioned keeping Thornton with sorenson, and I completely agree with that, keeping a dynamic 3rd line to accommodate the two 1st lines. The defense is pretty solid, although I enjoyed watching Dillon play with Karlsson, I thought they brought out the best in each other, as Karlsson had his streak of 21 games with a point and Dillon was a +27 in that span or something of the likes
