I don’t think Anaheim really realizes what Kase brings to the team.

IF they trade him 1 for 1 for Faulk. They’re losing that trade all day long. I really hope it happens because Anaheim will regret this trade so much.

I agree 100%. I think Kase is an excellent player, the guy could be a 30 goal scorer no problem in my opinion. I keep seeing rumours that Kase would be involved in a Faulk deal though. I personally don't think they should move him, but have a feeling they will...

It’s hilarious that no GM values Kase for what he is. I think that it should be Faulk+ for Kase. The guys gonna put up 60-75 points.

Kase's issue is that he is hands/skill only and he just had a massive shoulder injury.

Heavy emphasis on "could". I'm a Ducks fan and I love Kase and these rumors are giving me serious pause. But there's a cold, hard truth about Kase and it's the fact that he can't stay healthy. IF he can, he's a dynamic offensive threat who always has the puck and should put up over 30 goals. But that's a big if. He's coming off of shoulder surgery which usually takes a solid year for players to fully recover from and he's had several concussions. The last one happened when he was barely kicked in the face (it's a miracle he didn't get badly cut) and he was out for 18 games. I'd hate to see him go but I'd also hate to pass on a dynamic player only for Kase to remain made of glass.

Kase healthy is worth Faulk plus a second, Roland McKeown or even a prospect like Kuokkanen, Geekie or Mattheos. Whether and to what extent Kase's injury history factors into any trade is what real GM's get paid for assessing properly. And don't forget the effect of the expansion draft in two years -- Anaheim already has three defensemen it has to protect.
