Most of the pagentry is specifically for non Leaf fans who eat this crap up. Speculation is not reporting and speculation is likely 95% of what all these posts are about. All leaf fans should just ignore it all. If we collectively said, "nah I am not even going to read anything until there is actual news to read." All these talking head sensationalist would have to change their entire strategy to get the fan base back on board and Marner and his team would probably have to come back down to earth. No one wants to be irrelevant and we should all do our part to make speculating reporting irrelevant. I'm out.

There is no shenanigans. Horton has been on LTIR for years. Clarkson of course is on career ending LTIR, but if Marner doesn't start the season Clarkson will provide a bit more relief than his 5.25m, which was the purpose of his Las Vegas trade
Dermot is injured but his LTIR doesn't affect cap much so his replacement makes about the same. Hyman who was expected to be out till January might be ready for opening game.
