Seems like a good way to give Bracco some games and see if he is someone the Leafs will want long-term or just inflate his value and trade him. They have a logjam at RW, so they'll need to figure something out for Bracco sooner or later.

Mikheyev and likely Bracco if he shows himself in camp. He would fit nicely to JT. Not as impactful 5v5 player as maybe some thing but similar to Hoffman type of forward who too broke out in the league at age of 22-23 yr old. I think he started in NHL as 23/24yr old so.. I think Bracco but Bracco needs to be in top-6 and on PP to be most effective.

Moore and Bracco. If it doesn’t work trade for a forward like Hoffman or Hall at the deadline

I've heard Hyman might be ready so I'd go with:
Mik-AM-WN
Mango-JT-Hyman
Moore-kerfoot-kap
Aberg-Spezza-Shore

If Hyman isn't ready if give Moore the shot in JT's right. I know Bracco is popular here but ask anyone who actually follows the Marlies, he is not ready and has next to no chance of making it this year.

Kapanen has a great chance to step up during the start of the season. Also could be a possibility Bracco may see some games this year. Dw Marner will be signed 100% before the start of the season.

I could see also Dubas offering/ Marner accepting a bridge deal around 3-4 years structured by backloading the contract which he can get around 12.5 to 13M Qualifying offer. I know its a dumb amount but It I feel like this is the direction RFAs are highly considering.

If they really want to give Marner the finger, Nylander plays with JT. See how quickly Marner comes back to reality when a 7M dollar player throws up big numbers.

If Babcock is still Babcock, Spezza. Tie goes to the vet.

Bracco makes more sense on Matthews wing but knowing a rw playmaker makes the most sense on both top lines, he could slide into that spot with JT.

Definitely not Kapanen. If anything, he moves to the left wing and replaces Hyman....forever.

In some markets the high QO makes sense but Toronto isn't one of those markets and the numbers being thrown around for Marner in this scenario are flat out ridiculous.

Werenski at 5M for 3 years is more valuable than Marner at 9-10M over the same term.

Oh for sure I 100% agree. And I do feel like the Leafs have the upper hand in this situation. I believe Ferris is known for using the "playing in a different country" tactic when doing the Athanasiou contract

Marner signs don't panic. They saw what happened last year with Nylander. The holdout really messed him up. They can't do that to Marner and still compete for a cup. They made that mistake once, they won't do it again.
