I feel like trading Kase for Faulk makes the Ducks worse now and in the future, We couldn't buy goals last year and now we want to trade arguably our most gifted offensive player. makes 0 sense to me. sure we need RD help but moving Kase to get it isn't the move

THE ONLY justification I can see is that ANA isn’t confident about his health and see him bouncing out again before TDL and being out the year and than soon the trade looks like a early judgement call gone right. But who knows. And yeah the move is head scratcher, that’s the only thing I can why they trade Kase

Yeah and I get that train of thought, and to be fair I can't see his physicals so I don't know how bad it truly is. My thing is if CAR wants him this bad, he has to be at a point were a full season isn't something that is unattainable for him. I just see so much potential in Kase I would hate to move him in what would effectivley be a win now move when IMO the team isn't built to win now

It's also odd considering you traded Montour (good trade for both sides imo), yet now your GM wants to trade for an older version of him.

Oh yeah I think this trade is terrible, even if Kase needs a year to fully heal after playing like 20 games and they shut him down for precautionary and than he can play 82 next year Anaheim gets a really good pick in a stacked draft lol. It’s a win win. They keep him they get all the decisions, they trade him they could trade and easy 60+ point guy that Anaheim needs, and needs more then Faulk

100%, and before that we moved Vatanen, and we gave up Theodore to Vegas. I don't understand how Murray thinks lately. why give up Kase for Faulk when we could get Ceci for peanuts in comparison (I know Faulk is much better)

100% agree, I'm a fan of Faulk but not at the cost of Kase

you can give him to Joe Sakic for future considerations. He will keep Kase safe for you wink

It's just hard for me to believe that the Ducks will be bad enough to get a super high pick. It would be nice to get one of the top 3 in this draft, but if Gibby is healthy, there's a pretty good chance he steals a bunch of games and leaves them in a Montreal-type position.

Personally I hope we don't trade for either Faulk or Ceci

Faulk would cost us too much, and Ceci isn't any better than 3rd pairing guys we already have
