Bruins- Swooping in amp stealing the Duck

Created by: Propeller09
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 11, 2019
Published: Sep. 11, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Sign Carlo & McAvoy.
Bury Backes.
Swoop in a steal Kase and solve 2RW problem. Krug is miles better than Faulk. It could be straight up easily. I like Cehlarik and think he deserves a chance somewhere & Nobody would want to line up against that 4th line. If not Bjork, then Kuhlman on the 3rd - Whoever wins out of camp.

Will have to trade Miller and Moore at some point.

Ducks. don't need a LHD, especially a one year rental.

and nobody needs Justin Faulk, but here we are...

With Extension...

Total pipe dream. Mostly kidding but Ducks could (if they wanted) move Fowler to Right side
Krug /Fowler
Lindholm/Manson

is a pretty good and much better top 4 than with Faulk in there. That guy is a turd.

Yea, I don't understand all this talk of Faulk going to the Ducks. Are the Canes talking up his value, because they want to make a move to get cap space?

There's zero chance of Krug leaving a potential cup contender in Boston, For Anaheim. It's more realistic for Faulk to waive there then it is for Krug whom loves Boston and is willing to take a hometown discount to remain there.

no, according to analytics...form your own opinion if you want...even if you have nothing to support that. I could care less either way; I was just making a valid point.

What do you consider fancy stats? His possession numbers are actually pretty good. It's everything else. He is very protected. Despite starting 60% of his career in the Ozone he is a -100 over his career.
He has been in the leauge 8 years and has one playoff appearance & he has had one season with more than 37 pts. I don't know, he strikes me as very overrated. I also did not notice him in the Bruins/Canes series - to be fair, their entire D was very underwhelming that series.

If I were Buffalo, I wouldn't be too quick to give up on him. Skills are clearly there... Reminds me of Hedman. As a Bruins fan, I hope he doesn't figure it out, but wouldn't surprise me to see him as a legit stud in a couple years. He is only 24. He needs to stop chasing the hit IMO. Hitting is only valueable when you don't take yourself out of position.

sorry. stats for d men just tell such a small fraction of the story, I don't they're really worth bringing up.

I understand what you're saying, and I don't necessarily disagree. My problem with Risto is that even though he's only 24, he's already played 424 NHL games which leads me to believe that he kind of is what he is as a player currently.

I don't think he's as bad as people make him out to be when pointing out his +/- but watching him every game makes me think he has continued to regress. He panics with the puck on his stick and usually just punts it out of the zone. In a day and age where puck possession is everything that is not a recipe for success.

The flip side being is he's a RHD who has had 4 seasons in a row of over 40 points (albeit a lot on the pp, but points are still valuable and RHD are hard to find). Hopefully he can figure it out because he looked so promising to start his career
