Description
Okay to start off, these are not line combos but best players in order for each position. So to analyze a little bit, obviously RW depth is very weak. IF and its a big IF, Cozens earns a spot in training camp, I think you are sliding him to RW. Im not saying they should, but if he makes it, I dont see him sliding down to 3C, but honestly wouldnt be the worst thing. Just dont want to ruin him. Center is fully dependant on what we will be getting from Mitts. I think he will come in ready to go but time will tell. LW i think we have some very solid options and a guy like MOJO will slide out right or to the 2c or 3c spot. I already slid Oloffson to RW because im thinking him for top line with jeff and jack. And for the fun stuff, D. Sooooo many NHL caliber D. I think you have to make a trade. Its tough to see risto playing this year with all the turbulence that came this summer but I for one am a risto supporter. If the right deal comes however take it. And lastly for Goalie, I think Ullmark will be 1A and hutton will be 1B. 55/45 spilt. If struggles occur, I could see a carter hart situation unfold and give UPL a shot depending on how he has healed and how he is playing in the minors. All in all should be an exciting few weeks with all the internal competiton

Thanks for this analysis. A couple of questions: (1) would you be interested in Tyler Toffoli? (2) Am I correct in believing that Bogosian and Pilut are starting the year on IR?

I stopped reading when I didn't see Sobadka at the very bottom of the LW.

Only interested in Toffoli if he costs a roster player and a 2nd and if he would actually resign. Something like Sheary and a 2nd. And yes, both Bogo and Pilut are on IR, both had off season surgery. Pilut is expected back mid Oct and Bogo who knows

I wasn't thinking of a roster player -- I was thinking of a second and a prospect like either Borgen or Pekar.

I was thinking about a second and maybe a prospect like Borgen or Fitzgerald or maybe Pekar.

Sabres would need to include a roster player to balance cap and 0 chance we trade Borgen or Pekar for a 40 point forward. Borgen is a beast and isnt on the table. Pekar is also too valuable imo, he has a great ceiling.
