You can take Couture off the list, as he was literally just named Captain.

I think if NYR is able to keep Kreider, he's the guy.

I think Brady Tkachuk is the Captain of the future. He oozes confidence in everything he does, and he's a guy who is going to lead by doing.

Haha I know I'm going to get a lot of disagreement on these but DAMN I forgot about Slavin. I agree he would be ahead of Aho. I'm gonna stick with Matthews for TOR and it came down to Stone of Karlsson in Vegas.

Vegas captain is truly Fluery which is why I don’t think you will see anyone wear the C until he retires. Especially since it would be the first captain in team history.

If they didn’t put it on Engelland after his speech in 10/17, it’s not happening until him and Fluery are gone.

That's hilarious I honestly didn't see that! Not a bad take for OTT, I could see it happening for sure!

Hmm, interesting. My choices would be:

CAR: Jaccob Slavin
DET: Dylan Larkin
NYR: None. I think they should go the year without one. No one is established enough IMO. Maybe Brady Skjei?
OTT: None also. I can see someone like Colin White or Brady Tkachuk taking it one day, but they also don't have anyone established.
TOR: Auston Matthews
VAN: Bo Horvat
VGK: Not sure, I'm guessing they don't name one until Engelland retires since he's kind of their de facto captain. What about Nate Schmidt?

For Vegas it has be Stone. When they traded for him they literally threw him a parade as he got off the plane. If that doesn't scream Captain material I don't know what does.

I think the Sens have three great options for leadership in Chabot, Tkachuk and White. All great options for Captain, but regardless of who you go with, that's your core leadership group for the future.

to be honest Karlsson would be my very last choice for a captain. He doesnt have the captain qualities like a bunch of others on the team.
