Better chance he is just practising with the Knights this season. Stone at 9.5m for 8 years? That might not age well. Besides NMC Stone probably enjoys the calm of Vegas instead of being compared to Marner for eight years if there was a trade.

Easy to see Stone has a full NMC for a full eight years. And then there is matter of Vegas's cap if Marner wants 10m plus. Just turned 27, yikes finishes the contract at 35...no thanks. Rather take 4 first rounders and the cap space.
