Fair enough. I think Harpur is going to impress. We need that big, strong presence on the PK, even if its just a 3rd pairing guy, IMO.

He turned down 11 on a 7 or 8 year deal.

My proposal was 10.516 x 6.

He likely gets more than a 500K raise on his next deal, so its favourable to him. Especially since we'll likely have extra cash, since a 35 year old Tavares likely isn't due for a raise.

I hope you're right but I am dubious. If I were to guess, assuming Liljegren and Sandin stay in the minors, the 3rd pairing will be Marincin (good on PK, but God help us) and Schmaltz until Dermott returns
