You remember how poorly Riikola did in the playoffs last year right?
No matter how you flip it, he's still the best option at LD. No matter how much you hate him, he is still the better player.
This is the problem with moving JJ. Who replaces him. They need Almari to step up and be that guy if he's capable of doing it. Or Riikola has to show a lot more than he did last season.
Those are facts.

Pharrow,
Not sure I am understanding you...You mentioned how Riikola played in the playoffs last season...He Never played a game. I do think Riikola is the best option at left Defense outside of Dumo and Petterrson. In last years playoffs Guds had the best +/- on the team in the 4 games. The worst was Johnson, Letang and Dumo. Our TOP pairing is on the ice for a lot of the game in all aspects but Johnson doesn't really do much. Maatta never saw the Ice after Game #1 and he should have never seen any ice time in Game #1 in my opinion. He cost that game with his plays as he was a minus 2. We have to somehow get rid of JJ and move onto our young upcoming D players and force them to play NHL hockey because they do have the young pedigree and JJ is past his prime. Overall, I like the direction that our team has gone this season and I think our 4 offensive lines if played like I have listed above will be extremely tough to handle by the opponents and I think they are very good defensively.
