Hertl is a Center who is better than Laine. Thats a non starter

This isn't NHL 20 you can't just add assets until the AI says yes.

Pick one of Lebanc/Meier/Hertl and start there. And no bottom 6 throw-ins or contracts that end when someone's 38

Those are 3 non starters, hertl is on a steal of a contract especially if he builds on his last year (which I expect him too as he was an mvp for SJS), Meier is on a disgustingly good contract and also was a monster in the playoffs. Labanc took a 1x1 for more points than Laine (not saying he’s better because Laine has a much higher ceiling), so as much as I like Laine those 3 will not be traded unless Winnipeg loses the trade; which isn’t the goal of trading Laine. I do agree the trade proposed isn’t quality enough for Laine but those 3 don’t get it done unless Winnipeg overpays.

Yea I’m more so saying it’d be a package deal with Laine and hertl being the main pieces .. I think hertl and Laine have around the same value right now
