Sorry for two back to back posts, but I am curious about this idea.

Come October, say the Leafs want to change a thing or two up on D but have no space. Assuming the forwards are working well as they likely should, would you consider this?

Reasonable projections for these lines:

Sure, but helps the Oil a lot too. The price could be different but this situation can help the Oil. All players on the second line could have a shot at breaking 40 points, something the Oil have lacked for a long long time.

better to trade a low first to sign younger players than to trade an mvp winger for a 2nd pairing defensemen
