But he could also have multiple 100+ point seasons and get over $12 million in 3 years. Some players want security, others bet on themselves. Plus the bolts don’t have the cap space to do a long term contract.

If Point wants $8m, BriseBois will probably insist on five years. Maybe if Point actually holds out, BriseBois will do this just because he has to, but I don't exactly think that's what's happening right now.
