I think the leafs juggle things around to make it work this year, but I don't think there bottom 6 forwards are very good. Time will tell.

I disagree, will have to wait and see what mikheyev can bring to the nhl but kerfoot, kappy,Moore, spezza and aberg in the bottom 6 seems pretty good to me.

I hate to lose Kap but to get below the CAP space and have a 23 man roster someone with a significant salary will have to go. i like the trade but straight up or maybe a 6th round.

Zero chance Kapanen is the one to go. A team built on skill and speed won't deal both attributes to fit Hyman "the best forchecker in hockey" back into the lineup.

Just like Brown before him, Hyman is the most likely forward to go followed by Ceci.

It's a good thought on the trade. Leafs need some cap. Both Kapanen and Mayfield help in a position of need for their new teams, Both players have four years of NHL control. Leafs might lose two of RHD to UFA next year. Isles seem to "lots" of RHD.
