No Tkachuk would be bad news, but if going back with those guys brings about the return of 18 year old / playoff Sam Bennett, then I think this roster is still good enough to get into the playoffs. I could also see them keeping DSP around this year as he would be a good guy to rotate in on the fourth line with Czarnik depending on if you wanted a size or speed look (plus he a RHS which we lack). I see Rieder being the guy who Mangiapane and Dube are competing with for the one-two spots (depending on if Tkachuk is signed).

This is just the lines i have until he does sign, i am quite certain he will. Frolik will probably 3nd up getting moved and i wouldnt be surprised if a trade is already in place for when the numbers are agreed upon.

Frolik's unfortunately a likely cap casualty, I agree. If they do move Fro, they better get more term for Tkachuk (6+ years). If we're giving him a 5 year or less deal, hopefully Tre can knock down the dollars so we only have to look at moving / waiving Czarnik.

Makes sense. It's Tre's favorite number for all the other RFA's (Gaudreau, Hanifin, Lindholm), so why not for Tkachuk.
