This has nothing to do with the player, but none of these rfa's are worth Toews and kane money unless they've won 3 cups... they should be taking 6-7 mill for 5-8 years so that they can surround themselves with talent and contend for years, after they've won... sure pay the man.

Having said that some GMs ruined the league by giving 21 year olds double what they should be so now the "market" dictates they should be making Stanley cup champion money when they haven't even seen the finals
