I think Saad is gone and Caggs might too. Too many players will be ready to step up like Barratt, Kurashev, Sikura, Perlini (if they don't let him walk or trade him), Saarella, Entwhistle, Hagel, etc. Tonight in the preseason game, Sikura and Nylander stood out up front as well as Wedin. Perlini was lost like usual.

On defense, Mitchell and beaudin both have a very good shot at making the team and IMO Maatta or De Haan is likely gone. Boqvist needs to learn defense, right now he looks like a forward and that includes observations not only last season in the juniors, the worlds, prospect camp but in his first preseason game.

didnt pay too much attention to who gets traded, other than smith whos an obvious odd man out. Just wanted to see who we could retain with the cap hit on short term deals for cat and strome. Gives us some nice flexibility tho if we do want to move some contracts and bring up young guys or sign some FAs

The only problem with this is, DeBrincat is better than Boeser.

Sure, not by much. Most nucks fans had him signing longer term 7.5m aav and cat is probably worth ~8 right now. Could be weighted so he gets 8m in the final year making that his QO

No I would say DeBrincat is significantly better, and healthier.
