how the team will go this year

Created by: redwings_fun
Team: 2019-20 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 17, 2019
Published: Sep. 17, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
obviously around the trade deadline some D men will be moved either 2 or 3. Possibly a forward or two as well.

I would think Blash will experiment with moving Taco and Z, to find what works best.

Hard to say if they choose 2 extra D knowing injury history or 2 extra F.

AHL team is looking pretty strong as well

I’m assuming “Taco” means Taro Hirose.

Still a lot of work to do for Steve Yzerman to bring this team in the playoff. Hopefully, when McIsaac and Seider will jump in, the D will be solid with Hronek. Need more talent offensively but Zadina and Veleno is a good start.

Also, where is Cholowski ? Isn't he ready for fullt-time job ?

I think Cholowski is read for NHL but I cant see the wings sitting both Daley and Ericsson to play Cholowski. Id expect Cholowski to be half way trough the year after trades. but D core looks bright. Im a big fan of Mcisaac. That's why I was saying if they choose to go 2 extra D and one extra forward they will probably have Cholo up.

When Cholowski was sent down last year it was because of his defensive play wasn't up to par. At some point this season he will come up to stay after 52 games he has a good idea of what he needs to do to be a full time NHL defenseman and with the amount of defenseman the Wings have right now there isn't a need to rush him along. I think Svech starts the season in Detroit it's been a rough couple of years for him. I think they made a mistake by not bringing him up for more games a couple of years ago and then he blew out his knee last season. He never let it bring him down or complained about it he just said he needed to work harder and thats what he did with a smile on his face. That's why I really think the Wings are going to give him every opportunity to succeed. Even if he doesn't play up to the player he was when drafted you have to love his attitude and work ethic.

For svech's development he is better playing on the top line in GR then playing 5-10 mins a game in the NHL he still need time especially after the injury. yea he has a great work ethic but that doesn't mean they should have him play in the N for that. being wavier exempt, they can easily call him up and down as they wish. Again I could see him coming up near the end of the year or if an injury occurs. but he wont start in the NHL he can play along side Veleno and really get his game developed.
