There's really no point of this unless he is trading either Forbort or Martinez before the season starts......

Forbort is likely week-to-week and wont be ready to start the season. He's just doing it for defensive depth on the left side since there's almost none.

I'd rather them play a few of the younger guys like Anderson and Bjornfot for a couple of games at a time, but I get why he doesn't want to.

Give the left side to MacDermid, Clague, and Bjornfot or Ryan until Forbort is healthy. Might as well let them get a feel for it temporarily than sign a player that he will probably trade in 1 or 2 months like Cammy. Blake really has no clue about the business side of hockey.

Hutton, if he has a decent showing, can be that sign and trade player. Not sure what other guy out there you see would be any better than him. And 1.5mil is nothing, especially since the Kings have plenty of cap space. That's what we have to hope for.

But like I said, I agree with your opinion of giving the time to the younger players. Apparently MacDermid had a pretty solid game in Arizona tonight.
