Sens aren't the team to take on Little. He's over the hill and the Sens need the roster spaces for the hoards of young players coming through the next few years. The sens are reshaping their entire forward core to be younger, and Little flies in the face of that.

Just move little their with the allure of Stanley, could bounce him to another team but yup understand that it’s tough for the sens, and yeah the rangers would need to move cap but I like the idea of Panarin - Z - Wheeler

There really is no point of trading laine anymore if buff retires.

Not necessarily true You're still stuck with Buff $7.6 million over the next two years. He's retiring due to personal reasons not health reasons.

Not really cause we’re gonna be really bad anyway without buff, he clears a **** load of cap 21 million for laine and Connor. There would be no excuse to not sign both of them. We would lose a laine trade anyway no matter what if we traded him right now. It would be garbage asset management.

    If that’s true

And who gives a **** if you sign Laine and Connor if your defence is ****. Let’s be real. Jets were a real different team without buff; they really play better with him. Get a new number 1 guy and still keep Connor as Laine is a bigger draw and can get a quality piece whos young to take over

Sens should stay well clear of Logan Stanley. Sens haven't had a good Big Man on defense since Chara. The Sens went from the Cowen era straight into the Harpur era with next to no break in between. Sens fans need a breather before our next giant oaf. We can't keep shipping these guys to Toronto forever.

Toronto has a pact with Ottawa for the Harpurs of the NHL. Ottawa gets em, they take em. It’s a conspiracy

Jokes aside yeah Ottawa could ask for ville instead jut they may say no then

Ekblad for Laine straight up. Asking for drafts speaks to your greed. The preceptive value of an elite defenseman will be higher than an elite forward simply because there are fewer at that position. I would think if Florida were contemplating moving Ekblad, they would be the team demanding draft pics back. Outrageous trade!

Wheeler is the Jets heart and soul. If the Jets thought about parting ways, it would not have happened last season when Wheeler was slated for free agency. It seems to me that the contract Wheeler signed was for as much his past contributions to the Jets organization as it will be for the current and future campaigns.

Wheeler will be 38 when his contract ends. He has had back to back 91 point seasons. It is likely his point production will slip a bit as he nears the end of the contract. Even if it falls between 70 - 80 points, it will still be respectable in addition to the intangibles Wheeler bring to the game. Moving an aging forward doesn’t necessary make the team better.

The Rangers are in a rebuild. They have been moving the veterans for the last two season. Even if they had the cap space to acquire Wheeler, New York would not make this deal. At best he would be sought as “rental”. He has too many seasons remaining on his contract.
