Three RHD options

Description
Which makes the most sense for the Jets and what is fair value?

I realize the Jets would never do all three so don’t go tearing up the line-up, just thoughts on these three options.

My thoughts exactly. In my opinion, Faulk would be the front runner.

I’d have to go with the Faulk one

What would you see as the return for Ristolainen from Winnipeg?

No way either Laine or Connor sign that cheaply, If they did they'd already be resigned by now. Rumor has it that Laine wants at least $10 million per season. And Connor probably gets closer to $7.5 million per.

I'd go with the Honka and Risto one but the cost for Honka isn't even close to that. Maybe a 4th if they are lucky. Probably more of a prospect for prospect swap like Poolman or something.

I think adding Risto while his value is low is a smart move. He's also young enough to be part of the core for a while. Faulk isn't a bad option either though.

Screw it, get all three!

Hypothetically, from a Winnipeg perspective probably what you have here, Roslovic. But from a Sabres standpoint, they would want a top 6 forward, Roslovic hasn't proven to be that. I'd want Ehlers and I know that probably means Buffalo adds.

Personally, I’d like to see the Jets try to land both Faulk and Honka. A long term outlook with:

Morrissey-Niku
Heinola-Honka
Stanley-Pionk
Samberg-Poolman
Chisholm-Gawanke

Looks good to me.

If Laine wants $10m/season he can enjoy a winter in the Alps.

If Risto can pull Roslovic, yea please.

While I am not a Risto guy, it comes down to the fact we have 6 NHL calibur RHD. Risto, Montour, Joker, Bogo, McCabe, Miller.

Oh those 6, 3 have been brought in by the current GM. 1 of the remaining 3(bogo) is injured. So this really leaves us 2 tradable RHD right now. Honestly, skill wise, they're all(all 6) about the same, some are actually good at D, while others are much better on O. Some make good decisions with the puck, others are bad puck movers.

So this leaves us with Risto and McCabe. Risto has more supposed value, so he is the piece to target for a trade.

If you can pull a 2C out of Risto, then you've done a great job. Roslovic is a guy I peg to take a step this year. So he can battle it out with Mittelstadt for the 2C role.

Add Adam Lowry. I am good with that.
