The money Laine wants is the big deterrent for me. He wants $10 million and he just isn't worth it. Unless he turns his game around and learns to play then he is just a PP guy who will play 10 minutes a night and you cant dedicate that much money to those players.

Its also kind of a mute point when you have Caufield coming into the NHL as soon as next year.

Lol the jets players and Maurice said it’s literally a good thing to have a drive to have a bigger role on the team. It’s not like he is the only player to make such comments.

Laine is more like Ovy (at a lower scale I understand but still)
He will need to prove a good 2y @ a great contract like 8M$ that he is not an selfish teamate.
We can let go Suzuki as we do have Caufield that will take is spot next season.

Saying that he should play top line... is OK= drive
saying that he need to play with better player... that's hard for is teamate like C-Little & RW-Wheeler & RW-Ehlers that played with him most of the season
